This course will introduce the participants to the up to the minute information available as to any and all enacted, proposed and pending Federal Tax Legislation from Congress. The program will also discuss current relevant Revenue Procedures, Revenue Rulings, Notices and Regulations issued by the Internal Revenue Service impacting 2022 tax returns and beyond. This course will cover any extensions of expiring provisions as well as any tentative changes to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. The course will also review IRS announcements and changes as well as any Judicial Rulings Impacting the current year and beyond. The presentation will review issues currently encountered during the 2023 extensions season.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the session, the participants will have the up to the minute Legislative actions of Congress as well as any applicable rulings and announcements issued by the IRS and the Tax Court. The participants will be able to properly discuss these changes with their clients in order to be in compliance and for planning opportunities and challenges of the current and future tax years. The attendees will be better equipped to discuss recent legislative and administration issues for tax planning opportunities with their clients.
