Course Description

NSTP's Annual Federal Tax Update and Review Course is an in-depth study of Federal tax law and Federal tax updates needed for preparing tax returns and providing tax advice to clients for the 2021 tax year and beyond. Topics which will be covered in the course include:

  • 2021 Legislation including the American Rescue Plan of 2021 and any other 2021 Legislation

  • The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021

  • Disaster Act of 2020

  • Coronavirus Relief for 2021

  • Selected Provisions of the CARES Act impacting 2021

This round modern tower is 5 miles from Long Beach's convention center, concert arena and aquarium, and 1.5 miles from the Long Beach Airport. California State University, Long Beach, is 2.6 miles away, Seal Beach is 5.5 miles and the Queen Mary is 10 miles. Casual rooms have desks, minifridges, satellite TV, in-room movies and free Wi-Fi. Suites add pull-out sofas and microwaves, and kids 19 and under stay free with an adult. A top-floor restaurant with panoramic views offers California-style cuisine and kids under 12 eat free. There's also a business center, gym and outdoor pool, plus the airport/local shuttle and parking is free.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this program, participants will be able to differentiate Federal tax law changes from the previous year, identify updated forms and rule changes and apply rules of federal tax law to preparing tax returns and providing tax advice to clients.

Administration Policies: NSTP follows strict administrative policies
Late Registration
  • Registrations must be received no later than 7 days prior to the seminar date.
  • Registrations received after this date will be subject to a $35 late fee.
Refunds
  • NSTP provides refunds to registrants up to 7 days prior to the date of the course. For those registrants canceling within 14 days prior to the date of the course NSTP will allow attendance at another seminar site. If there are extraordinary circumstances NSTP will allow the participant to attend a future education course. An administrative charge of $25 will be assessed if canceled. Cancellation
  • NSTP reserves the right to cancel any program or course for circumstances that are not under direct control of NSTP. If a course or program is canceled, participants will be refunded 100% of their registration fee.
Walk-In
  • We do not accept walk-in attendees. Payment must be received in advance of the class. Classes may not be retaken without payment.
