Restaurant Revitalization Funding (RRF) Program Update

Restaurant Revitalization Funding (RRF) Program Update

The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which was signed into law on March 11, 2021, included funding for the RRF which is administered through the Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA is authorized to award funds of $28.6 billion to businesses that are not permanently closed where the primary purpose is serving food or drink to the public or patrons.

This funding is available in addition to the Payment Protection Program (PPP) loan funds or EIDL funding.

Eligible businesses include: restaurants, food stands or trucks, caterers, bars (saloons, lounges, taverns), licensed facilities of a beverage alcohol producer where the public may taste, sample, or purchase products, and other places of business where patrons assemble for the primary purpose of being served food or drink.

The business will need to attest that:

* Current economic uncertainty makes this funding request necessary to support the ongoing or anticipated operations of the Applicant.

* The Applicant does not have a pending application for and has not received a Shuttered Venue Operator Grant from the SBA.

The portal for a business to register will open on Friday, April 30 at 9 am; and the portal for an eligible business to submit an application will be open on Monday, May 3, 2021 at noon.

For complete program guidelines and eligibility requirements, the SBA has established a Restaurant Revitalization Fund Knowledge Base webpage.

Attached is some general information regarding the program.
