Program Announcement

Course level addresses the challenges of the experienced tax professional with an introduction approach for the developing practitioner. A working knowledge of tax law is recommended and the instructional method is a "Group Live" offering.

The course is a "roll up your sleeves" workshop course.

Advance preparation is not required

The course provides for 8 hours of continuing education credit. NASBA approved.

This course will introduce both the seasoned professional and new preparers to the reporting requirements of the S-Corporation as an entity and the affect on the individual Form 1040 of the shareholder.

This course will discuss the formal requirements of the legal information and the deferral of income under §351 when creating the entity, the §358 stock basis of the shareholder and §362 basis of the assets transferred to the S-Corporation. There will be a discussion on the election of S-status as well as the failure to make a timely election and ways to correct it.

Administrative Policies

LATE REGISTRATION: Registrations must be received no later then 7 days prior to the date of the seminar. Registrations received after this date will be subject to a late fee of $35.00.

NSTP follows strict administrative policies.

REFUNDS: NSTP provides refunds to registrants up to 14 days prior to the date of the education. For those registrants canceling within 14 days prior to the education date NSTP will allow attendance at another seminar site. If there are extraordinary circumstances NSTP will allow the participant to attend a future education course. An administrative charge of $25 will be assessed if canceled.
