Session 2

Registration: 10:50 AM

Session 2 Begins: 11:00 AM

Session 2 Concludes: 1:00 PM

This course focuses on:

Advising entrepreneurs through the business lifecycle using post-TCJA/OBBBA-era planning: entity optimization, SALT decisioning, §1202 Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) positioning, and exit/legacy readiness.

This Presentation also provides Tax Professionals with a practical framework to guide entrepreneurs from start-up, through growth, and exit, supported by documentation-focused advisory delivery so strategy turns into compliant execution.

At the conclusion of the presentation, participants will be better equipped to:

  • Analyze how current §199A/QBI rules affect entity choice and planning across income levels.
  • Evaluate SALT cap considerations and determine when itemizing becomes favorable versus when PTE strategies remain beneficial.
  • Assess the updated §1202 QSBS landscape (tiered exclusion concepts and eligibility) and identify common disqualifiers and documentation gaps.
  • Apply an exit-readiness framework that connects income tax strategy with succession and legacy timing (including higher, indexed estate and gift exemption levels).
  • Implement an advisory delivery model with defined scope, assumptions, client decision logs, and follow-up cadence.
